About us
The Greater Phoenix Vaad Hakashrus is a non-profit kosher supervision organization. Founded in 1965 by Rabbi David Rebibo ז״ל, the Vaad has served our community for almost six decades and works closely with OU Kosher, the Star-K, and other leading kashrus organizations.

The Vaad services food manufacturers, bakeries, dairies, snack foods companies, chemical companies, schools, restaurants, resorts, caterers, and independent grocers. It also contracts with OU Kosher and other Kashrus agencies to inspect over 50 facilities throughout Arizona. In all, the Vaad conducts more than 800 kosher inspections per year.

To maintain and upgrade kashrus standards and professionalism, Vaad rabbonim travel throughout the United States to visit factories, attend conferences, and collaborate with other certification agencies and mashgichim.

The Greater Phoenix Vaad Hakashrus emblem is a registered trademark. The placement of the Greater Phoenix Vaad Hakashrus symbol upon a product is a firm guarantee to both consumers and manufacturers that its product complies with the highest kosher standards.
The Vaad provides free information to consumers on the availability of kosher products in the Greater Phoenix area and leads educational seminars for businesses and consumers.
